We all are equally frustrated with the situation we are in. We can always find reasons to fight within our community (EB Vs FB, Legal Vs Illegal, EB1 vs EB2 Vs EB3 - the list is endless). These outburst of frustrations / arguments and counter arguments do not take us anywhere.
Let us keep supporting IV and build a strong partnership of interested parties. Let us focus on areas where we can agree. Many among us worked hard to build this community, let us try to strengthen and preserve it.

Dear EB2 guys,
This thread was started by one EB3 guy to discuss about EB3 plight. If you don't want to constructively ( including criticism ) participate in the discussion, can't you at least stay away from this thread ?
Why do men go after a pretty girl? shouldn't the ugly one get attention as much attention?

I am trying to switch employer. The job title and job description is similar what written in my I140. At least 75% job duties are included in new job duties. But none of new employers where I found employment ready to write job duties. What is the other way to show that I am doing similar job duties. Should I keep scree shot of JOB add? Any idea.
Also my current EAD will expire in Aug,2011 I have to file extension in April. Employer asks if extension is denied... How to explain new employers.
If job title is exactly same as written in I140/labour does it still require to show job duties written by employer to USICS.

2007 June visa bulletin moved EB3 India to June 2003. The very next month, they made everything current. Things went out of control after that. For some reason, in my dreamland, I am fantacizing the first move to repeat again. May not make everything current, but atleast, move EB3 to june 2003.

My EAD renewal is pending as well - RD 6/18 - present EAD expiring on 9/25. I requested expediting processing on 8/13 and received a letter yesterday saying they are reviewing my request and will have a decision in 60 days : :rolleyes:
We CANNOT do any thing, when I called USCIS, IO said they can't do either.. wait for 60 days. BS
sparklinks - I got card production ordered email today and LUD on EAD cases online. I sent a request for inquiry thru immigration staff of my Senator (Sen. Kennedy - MA) three days ago. Not sure if that had any role to play in EAD approval.
Check your status and update as our cases were identical. I'll update details of duration of EAD renewal when I get physical cards.

Folks,
Its good to see this thread is still active. I just came home after 30 hrs non-stop work due to our product launch. I did go through quickly on all the posts after my post and I really didnt get the point I was looking for. I will respond to each of you tomorrow in one post.
The response I see for any type of campaign in the form of contributions is pathetic, based on the number of people waiting and those who are active. We will go nowhere, but this must change, and we will help.
I will now have to sleep for 5 hrs and then go back.

Since you consider that IV did nothing to reverse July 2 VB, why are you hanging around here? If you credit AILA/AILF why don't you write to them to file Class Action against USCIS to process case FIFO? They might do it or they might just laugh it off
I would say the reversal of the July 2 visa bulletine didn't just happen because of the flowers the members sent, the law suit AILA wanted to file against USCIS was one of the major reason apart from the California's Lawmakers letter. So please don't try to cut peoples idea by trying to belittle them, if you don't agree with them it is ok, if everyone agreed on the same thing life will be so dull.

For those who doubt that a definitive initiative is needed for the Legal immigrant community, may I humbly remind them of the most basic and the most important phrase of the US Constitution..."Every human being has the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". What has been happening with all this memos and counter-memos and visa bulletins from the USCIS and the DOS is a denial of our basic human rights...first as Human beings and then as Legal Immigrants. Friends we can possibly build a strong case based on the informed readings of the US Constitution and Law. We have done nothing wrong to get such treatment buy these departments. We have followed every law and requirement that the US Immigration Law has prescribed but because of the sheer number of immigrants from India and China we are being disadvantaged and discriminated by the US Congress, certain laws and by these departments. It is not a legal immigrants fault that the US Law does not limit the F1 visas issued in a year by country and the number of jobs applied under H1b program by country. The endless delays in the GC process clearly disadvantages the legal immigrant community from large countries like India and China compared with legal immigrants from other countries and even US citizens. They clearly cannot pursue their dreams of prosperity, career advancement, security (for himself and family via education, jobs and homes) and overall happiness. Justice delayed is nearly always denied.

Please begin the process of getting permit from the city to do this in the time-frame and route mentioned. But please move the date to either saturday July 14th or July 21st.
People wont be able to come tommorow so this must be done July 14th or July 21. Also, the rally should not be about just the July bulletin. It should be about backlogs and numerical caps as the root cause of this mess.
But do get city permit for around 100 people (that's what I expect will show up in Bay area based on past experience with Gutierrez rally).
Let's get some attention from CEOs of Oracle, Cisco, Sun and Google and also some attention from Rep. Zoe Lofgren and Nancy Pelosi. There couldnt be a better place than Bay area to do this, especially San Jose.
Let's do this.
